Research Translation Café at the RES Hub Event Space – November 7, 2024, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM

The Research Translation team invites you to their end-of-year Research Translation Café on November 7, 2024, at the RES Hub Event Space.

Are you interested in learning more about research translation? Have you submitted an IP disclosure, applied for Australia's Economic Accelerator (AEA), or participated in the Research Translation Competition? If so, don't miss the Research Translation Café at the RES Hub Event Space. It's a fantastic opportunity to hear from and talk to experts about many aspects of research translation. Here are the details of the four presenters.

Stefan Mazy (CEO and Founder of DermR Health)

Stefan will be delivering a talk about his inspiring commercialisation journey.

Dr Laura Droessler (Investment Manager, Uniseed)

Laura will discuss how Venture Capital firms can assist researchers in their research commercialisation journey.

Selena Boyfield (Ecosystem Manager, CSIRO)

Selena will discuss the various CSIRO training programs, such as the CSIRO On Prime program, available for researchers interested in commercialisation/research translation. 

Peter Millic (Australia's Economic Accelerator Priority Manager)

Peter will discuss the availability of federal government grant funds for early-stage commercialisation projects.

Getting to the venue:

RES Hub’s main entrance is located at UTS Central on Level 5 in Building 2 (CB02.05.250), adjacent to the UTS Reading Room.

Alternatively, if you are coming to an event, you can enter RES Hub from Level 5 in Building 1. The entrance to our event space is located directly opposite the escalators accessed from Level 4 (street level), the main entrance to UTS.
